FightAIDS@Home project update - February 2015

Hello all,

The end of the beginning is near for the FightAIDS@Home project - what's left to be done, and what are the next steps for the project? Find out in the recently posted project update.

Thanks!

Q for Scientists: Is this data analysis a precursor to launching into refined (post) processing with BEDAM or is latter not dependent on this effort?

Lots of luck with the analysis of data !!! If you need any more crunching done, we are available... have machine, will crunch !!! biggrin

Hi Erika,

Just a question about this entire project and its outcome:

I failed to understand if all these computations and output are publicly available, so others, besides the Olson Laboratory that runs the project, can make any use of them (and why not, hopefully, have a breakthrough - you never know where a briliant mind is popping from).

Thank you and good luck!

Re: FightAIDS@Home project update - February 2015

Hello SekeRob,

A good question. BEDAM has proven to be quite useful in the past, so any analysis being done now is an automatic precursor for BEDAM. However, the data set generated from WCG and its crunchers is unique as are the analysis techniques being developed as we speak. We hope to report on its progress ASAP. (Months maybe?)

Thanks,

Dan
